Minor students may not independently enroll themselves.

A parent or legal guardian must:

• request or authorize enrollment;
• provide or approve the email address used for the student account;
• create and protect the account password;
• supervise the student’s use where appropriate;
• review the Privacy Policy and relevant Academy policies;
• and ensure that the student follows these Terms.
  
  

The parent or guardian is responsible for the student’s use of the account and platform.

Users must provide accurate and current information.

Each student should use the account assigned to that student. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared outside the authorized household, or used by an unauthorized person.

Families are responsible for protecting account credentials and must notify Sunstone Academy promptly if they believe an account has been accessed without permission.

Sunstone Academy does not have access to users’ readable passwords.

Sunstone Academy provides structured educational content, learning activities, assessments, progress information, and homeschooling support.

The platform is intended for lawful personal, family, and educational use.

Materials may not be used:

• for commercial resale;
• to operate an unauthorized school, tutoring business, or training service;
• to misrepresent another person’s academic work;
• or for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.

Sunstone Academy is designed to support parent-led homeschooling.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for:

• directing and supervising their child’s education;
• determining whether the program is suitable for the child;
• meeting compulsory education, registration, attendance, assessment, or reporting requirements in their jurisdiction;
• arranging any external examinations or qualifications;
• providing appropriate devices, internet access, materials, and supervision;
• and evaluating the child’s broader educational development.
  
  

Sunstone Academy does not guarantee that its materials alone satisfy every legal or academic requirement in every country, state, province, or locality.

Programs, courses, lessons, activities, assessments, features, and grade levels may be introduced, revised, replaced, suspended, or discontinued as the platform develops.

Sunstone Academy may:

• update curriculum content;
• correct errors;
• revise lesson sequencing;
• change platform features;
• introduce new resources;
• remove outdated materials;
• and temporarily restrict access for maintenance or security.
  
  

We aim to provide reasonable notice of material changes where practical.

The platform may record:

• lessons accessed or completed;
• activity completion;
• quiz and assessment results;
• submitted work;
• and other learning data.
  
  

Automated scores and platform records provide information about activity and performance within Sunstone Academy.

They do not necessarily represent a complete evaluation of the student’s overall education, abilities, development, or readiness for external qualifications.

Parents remain responsible for interpreting platform information within the child’s wider homeschooling program.

Users may be permitted to create profiles, publish posts, comment, upload files, or communicate with authorized teachers and administrators.

Users must communicate respectfully and safely.

Users must not post, upload, transmit, or share content that:

• is abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate;
• bullies, humiliates, harasses, or targets another person;
• exposes private or identifying information;
• contains malware, harmful code, or deceptive links;
• infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• encourages illegal or dangerous conduct;
• impersonates another person;
• disrupts the educational environment;
• or violates any Academy policy.
  
  

Student-to-student private messaging is not permitted.

Private messages may be sent only to authorized teachers or administrators where the platform allows this.

Users must not publish:

• home addresses;
• telephone numbers;
• passwords;
• private email addresses;
• precise location details;
• financial information;
• government identification numbers;
• unnecessary medical information;
• or identifying information about another child without authorization.
  
  

Profile images and uploaded files must be appropriate for an educational environment.

Parents should supervise younger students when using community or upload features.

Users retain ownership of original content they submit, subject to any rights belonging to others.

By uploading or posting content, the user gives Sunstone Academy a limited, non-exclusive right to:

• host;
• store;
• display;
• reproduce;
• review;
• moderate;
• and process
  
  

that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and administer the platform.

Users must have the right and permission to upload all submitted content.

Sunstone Academy may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or creates a safety, legal, privacy, or operational concern.

Unless otherwise stated, Sunstone Academy’s curriculum, videos, texts, worksheets, designs, assessments, graphics, logos, lesson structures, and platform materials are owned by or licensed to Sunstone Academy.

Users may:

• view materials through an authorized account;
• download resources where download is expressly enabled;
• print reasonable copies for the enrolled student’s personal educational use;
• and use materials within the authorized household.
  
  

Users may not, without written permission:

• reproduce or distribute substantial portions of the curriculum;
• upload materials to public websites or file-sharing services;
• sell, sublicense, translate, adapt, or commercially exploit materials;
• remove copyright or ownership notices;
• record or redistribute protected video content;
• or provide platform access to unauthorized users.

The platform may include content or services provided through LearnWorlds, YouTube, Zoom, Google Drive, email providers, or other authorized third parties.

Use of those services may also be subject to the provider’s own terms and policies.

Sunstone Academy is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.

Users must not:

• attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems;
• test, scan, probe, or interfere with platform security;
• use automated tools to scrape or copy content;
• introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code;
• bypass access restrictions;
• misuse forms or communication systems;
• send spam or unauthorized mass communications;
• or interfere with another user’s access.
  
  

LearnWorlds also prohibits unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, hostile, security-disruptive, and spam-related uses of its platform.

Sunstone Academy may review platform activity and user content where reasonably necessary to:

• provide support;
• moderate community areas;
• investigate reported concerns;
• protect users;
• maintain security;
• enforce these Terms;
• or comply with law.
  
  

We do not guarantee continuous monitoring of every activity or communication.

Parents remain responsible for supervising their child’s use.

Sunstone Academy may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate access where a user:

• violates these Terms or another Academy policy;
• creates a safety or safeguarding concern;
• misuses community or communication tools;
• compromises platform security;
• infringes intellectual property;
• provides materially false information;
• or uses the platform unlawfully.
  
  

Where appropriate and safe, we may contact the parent or guardian before taking action.

Access may be suspended immediately where necessary to protect a child, another user, the platform, or legal rights.

Sunstone Academy currently intends to provide its core learning platform free of charge to families.

If paid products, optional services, subscriptions, examinations, materials, or other charges are introduced later:

• the relevant price and terms will be disclosed before purchase;
• additional payment or cancellation terms may apply;
• and these Terms may be updated.
  
  

No refund obligation applies where no payment has been collected.

We aim to keep the platform available and functional, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.

Access may be affected by:

• maintenance;
• service provider outages;
• internet or device problems;
• cybersecurity incidents;
• legal or regulatory restrictions;
• emergencies;
• or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Sunstone Academy makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate, structured, and high-quality educational content.

However:

• educational materials may contain errors or require revision;
• individual results vary;
• no specific academic outcome is guaranteed;
• no qualification, admission, employment, or examination result is guaranteed;
• and users should independently verify information where high-stakes decisions depend on it.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sunstone Academy and The Ahmadi Academy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the platform.

This may include loss arising from:

• internet or device failure;
• third-party services;
• user-generated content;
• unauthorized account access caused by credential sharing;
• failure to comply with local homeschooling requirements;
• or reliance on platform information outside its intended educational scope.
  
  

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, an adult user or parent agrees to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses arising from:

• unlawful use of the platform;
• violation of these Terms;
• infringement of another person’s rights;
• unauthorized distribution of Academy materials;
• or content uploaded by that user.
  
  

This does not apply where the loss was caused by Sunstone Academy’s own unlawful conduct.

We may update these Terms when:

• the platform changes;
• new services are introduced;
• policies or legal requirements change;
• or clarification is needed.
  
  

The updated Terms will show a revised “Last Updated” date.

Material changes may also be communicated through the platform or by email.

Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Where renewed parental consent is legally required, it will be requested separately.
