Learn, share, and grow together.
To help keep the community welcoming, educational, private, and safe, everyone who participates must follow these guidelines.
By accessing or participating in the USHA Community, users agree to communicate respectfully, protect the privacy of others, and use the community only for appropriate educational and family-related purposes.
Our Community Values
Respectful
People may have different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, abilities, learning styles, and opinions. Disagreement is allowed, but personal attacks, insults, ridicule, harassment, or hostile behavior are not.
Educational
The community must not be used for unrelated advertising, political campaigning, repeated promotional content, or disruptive conversations.
Private
Protect your own privacy and the privacy of others.
Do not share private information such as:
- Home addresses
- Personal phone numbers
- Private email addresses
- Passwords or login details
- Financial information
- Exact daily locations or routines
- Private family circumstances
- Confidential educational records
- Personal documents
- Information about another family without permission
Students should never be asked to move a conversation to a private external platform.
Safe
Content that could frighten, exploit, pressure, manipulate, embarrass, or harm another person is not permitted.
Student Communication
Private student-to-student messaging is not permitted.
Students may contact authorized teachers or USHA administrators through approved platform communication tools when support is needed.
No user may attempt to bypass platform communication restrictions by asking a student to communicate through personal email, social media, gaming platforms, messaging apps, or other external services.
Posting and Sharing Content
Community members may share appropriate educational content, including:
- Learning questions
- Study ideas
- Completed projects
- Artwork
- Writing
- Academic achievements
- Helpful resources
- Encouragement for other families
- Questions about using the USHA platform
Before posting student work, photographs, videos, or personal information, parents should consider whether the content is appropriate to share with the wider USHA Community.
Only share content that you created, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to post.
Do not upload copyrighted books, paid course materials, answer keys, subscription resources, or other protected content without permission.
Student Showcase Content
The Student Showcase is intended to celebrate learning and creativity.
Appropriate submissions may include:
- Artwork
- Essays and stories
- Science projects
- History projects
- Presentations
- Educational videos
- Crafts
- Academic milestones
- Other learning achievements
Parents remain responsible for deciding what information about their child may be shared.
Avoid including full names, addresses, identifying documents, school records, or other unnecessary personal details in student showcase posts.
US Homeschooling Academy may review, approve, decline, edit, move, or remove showcase content when necessary.
Prohibited Conduct
The following behavior is not permitted:
- Bullying or harassment
- Threats or intimidation
- Discrimination or hateful conduct
- Sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content
- Grooming behavior or attempts to build secret relationships with students
- Requests for personal contact information
- Encouraging students to communicate privately outside the platform

- Sharing another person’s private information
- Posting misleading or deliberately false information
- Spam, repeated advertising, or unauthorized promotions
- Attempts to sell products or services to students
- Sharing harmful links, malware, or suspicious downloads
- Cheating, distributing assessment answers, or encouraging academic dishonesty
- Disrupting discussions or repeatedly ignoring moderator instructions
- Using the community for unlawful activity
Content does not need to appear on this list to be removed if US Homeschooling Academy reasonably considers it unsafe, inappropriate, disruptive, or inconsistent with the purpose of the community.
Academic Honesty
Community members may help one another understand lessons, discuss ideas, and explain learning strategies.
However, users must not:
- Post answers to active assessments
- Complete assignments for another student
- Share restricted answer keys
- Encourage plagiarism
- Present another person’s work as their own
- Help another user bypass course requirements
Students should receive support that helps them learn, not support that replaces their own work.
Moderation
US Homeschooling Academy may monitor and moderate community spaces to support safety, privacy, respectful communication, and appropriate educational use.
Moderation actions may include:
- Reviewing posts and comments
- Moving content to a more appropriate space
- Editing or removing inappropriate content
- Limiting posting privileges
- Temporarily restricting community access
- Suspending or closing accounts
- Contacting a parent or account holder
- Preserving relevant information when a safety concern is reported
- Referring serious concerns to appropriate authorities when required
US Homeschooling Academy is not required to publish or retain every submission.
Community moderation decisions are made to protect users and maintain the purpose of the platform.
Reporting a Community Concern
Community members should report content or behavior that appears:
- Unsafe
- Threatening
- Inappropriate
- Bullying or harassing
- Discriminatory
- Sexually suggestive
- Manipulative
- Privacy-invasive
- Suspicious
- Harmful to a child
- In violation of these guidelines
For general community access or posting problems, use the Family & Student Support Request Form.
For safeguarding, child safety, bullying, inappropriate communication, privacy concerns, or other safety-related matters, use the Safety Concern Form.
Do not publicly confront another user or repost harmful content in order to draw attention to it. Submit the concern privately so it can be reviewed appropriately.
Immediate Danger
US Homeschooling Academy’s reporting forms are not emergency response services.
Responsibilities of Parents and Account Holders
US Homeschooling Academy is a parent-led homeschooling platform.
Parents and account holders are responsible for:
- Supervising their child’s use of the platform
- Protecting account login information
- Reviewing what their child posts
- Helping their child understand these guidelines
- Reporting inappropriate or concerning behavior
- Ensuring that community participation is suitable for their child
- Contacting US Homeschooling Academy when support is needed
Parents should regularly speak with their children about online privacy, respectful communication, and what to do when something online makes them feel uncomfortable.
Consequences of Violating the Guidelines
US Homeschooling Academy will consider the nature, seriousness, frequency, and potential impact of a violation.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
- A reminder of the guidelines
- Removal of content
- A warning to the account holder
- Temporary restrictions
- Loss of community access
- Account suspension
- Account termination
- Further safeguarding or legal action where necessary
Serious safety concerns may result in immediate restrictions while the matter is reviewed.
